What You May Expect During an Initial Visit
Consultation
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor or practitioner to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.
History and Examination
In order to determine what your actual problem is, the practitioner will take a thorough history and ask you various questions related to your condition or concerns. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to further determine the underlying imbalances or driving factors contributing to your health concerns.
X-Rays or Other Imaging
Your specific condition may require our Chiropractors or Naturopath to order x-rays, labs, or other imaging to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.
Bloodwork or Specialty Lab Testing
Bloodwork, stool testing, and breath or saliva testing may be recommended by our Chiropractors or Naturopath. Many of these tests can be ordered through our office.
Same Day Treatment
Once finished with the initial chiropractic history and examination, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy modalities, cupping, specific stretches or exercises, and/or soft tissue therapies.
Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
After-Hour Chiropractic Appointments
While our normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 (and Saturday 8:00-1:30), we understand that sometimes bike crashes, vehicle collisions and other incidents do happen after normal business hours. We will make every effort to get patients in after hours when a doctor is available. Please be aware that because we don't have reception staff avaialable for these appointments, most after-hour visits (except Motor Vehicle Accidents) must be paid in cash at the time of service. To schedule an apopointment during non-business hours, please email us at [email protected]. We will do our best to respond and get you in within the day when possible. Please note that these appointments are intended for "emergency type" chiropractic situations. For true emergencies, please call 911.
